Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Finance Manager to oversee all financial operations within our healthcare organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance and accounting, proven leadership skills, and the ability to manage day-to-day financial activities while supporting strategic growth. Experience in healthcare finance is highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily financial operations, including general ledger management, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Develop, implement, and maintain financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure compliance and operational efficiency.
- Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and bank reconciliations.
- Support annual audits, tax filings, and other external reporting requirements.
- Partner with department heads to provide financial insights that guide operational and strategic decisions.
- Lead, mentor, and supervise accounting and finance team members.
- Assist in developing long-term financial plans and evaluating funding opportunities, cost controls, and revenue streams.
- Collaborate with Human Resources and Operations to ensure payroll accuracy and benefit cost management.
- Utilize financial systems such as Sage, ADP, or equivalent platforms to streamline financial processes (experience preferred, but not required).
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master’s degree or CPA preferred).
- 5+ years of progressive finance or accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a management or supervisory role.
- Strong understanding of healthcare financial regulations, billing, and reimbursement processes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel); knowledge of Sage and/or ADP is a plus.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
- High level of integrity and confidentiality.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in healthcare or nonprofit financial management.
- Familiarity with fund accounting and cost allocation methods.
- Proven track record of process improvement and system implementation.
