Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Officer to oversee safety compliance and risk management across multiple facilities. This role is responsible for ensuring OSHA compliance, developing and implementing safety programs, conducting inspections, and driving a strong culture of safety across all locations.

This is a high-impact role requiring strong leadership, regulatory expertise, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Key Responsibilities

• Oversee EHS compliance across multiple facilities
• Conduct OSHA inspections, audits, and corrective action follow-ups
• Develop, implement, and maintain safety policies and procedures
• Lead safety training programs and update LMS content
• Support emergency preparedness and crisis management planning
• Monitor workplace safety, hazard exposure, and incident reporting
• Prepare and submit OSHA and regulatory compliance reports
• Manage safety-related work orders and facility risk issues
• Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and facility stakeholders
• Maintain SharePoint-based documentation and reporting systems
• Track incidents, trends, and safety metrics; report findings to leadership
• Support corporate safety initiatives and monthly safety topics

Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Required Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship required
• One of the following certifications required:
• • CSP (Certified Safety Professional)
  • ASP (Associate Safety Professional)
  • OHST (Occupational Health & Safety Technologist)
  • Or equivalent EHS certification
• Education + Experience:
• • High School Diploma/GED + 20+ years experience
  • Associate’s + 14 years
  • Bachelor’s + 12 years
  • Master’s + 10 years
• Strong knowledge of OSHA standards and EHS regulations
• Experience in environmental health & safety, facilities, or compliance roles
• Strong training and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Experience with SharePoint and document management systems preferred
• Ability to interpret building plans and conduct facility inspections

Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
• Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs
• Ability to climb ladders, bend, stretch, and perform facility inspections

Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Preferred Skills

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Experience in multi-site facility safety management
• Vendor coordination and facilities support experience
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to perform in high-pressure environments
