Job Details
Responsibilities
- Develop, optimize, and maintain manufacturing processes to ensure efficiency, safety, and product quality
- Lead the integration of new production lines, including equipment design, layout, and process validation
- Use CAD and CAM tools to design or modify equipment and tooling for in-house or outsourced fabrication
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on automation, material handling, and process improvements
- Analyze production data to identify inefficiencies and implement corrective actions
- Support documentation including process flows, SOPs, and control plans
- Partner with equipment vendors and maintenance to implement upgrades and new technologies
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives using lean and Six Sigma methodologies
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or related Engineering field
- 3+ years of manufacturing engineering experience in a production environment
- Strong knowledge of CAD software (e.g. Pro Engineer, Mastercam, etc.)
- Hands-on mechanical aptitude with ability to design and improve manufacturing equipment
- Experience with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other structured process improvement methods
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills
Nice to Haves
- Background in polymers, wire manufacturing, or non-ferrous metals
- Prior experience in medical device manufacturing or catheter production
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 or IATF 16949 standards
- Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification
- Experience supporting automation projects and advanced material processing
