Zehnder Group North America (Zehnder America business unit) is looking for a Service Technician to join our growing team and support our expanding installed base of high-performance ventilation and indoor air quality systems.
\n
\n
This is a hands-on technical role for someone who enjoys troubleshooting, solving problems in the field, working directly with customers, and being the technical expert they can rely on.
\n
You'll work with homeowners, contractors, engineers, and distributors while diagnosing, repairing, commissioning, and supporting Zehnder systems.
\n
\n
🔧 What You'll Do
\n
- \n
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, airflow, and controls-related issues
- Perform on-site service visits, inspections, commissioning, and system performance verification
- Repair motors, fans, controls, sensors, wiring, duct connections, and related components
- Provide remote technical support by phone, email, and video
- Support contractors with installation troubleshooting
- Assist with warranty evaluations and parts replacement recommendations
- Document service activities, findings, repairs, and recommendations
- Partner with Engineering, Technical Support, Sales, and Operations to resolve recurring issues and improve service processes
- Stay current on Zehnder products, controls, and system updates
- Represent Zehnder professionally at customer locations and job sites

🤝 Customer-Facing Technical Expert
\n
You'll be more than a technician—you'll be a trusted technical resource for our customers and channel partners.
\n
You'll explain technical problems and solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences, set clear expectations, and provide a professional, solutions-oriented customer experience.

\n
🛠️ What We're Looking For
\n
We're looking for someone with:
\n
- \n
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting ability
- Experience with HVAC, ventilation systems, controls, or building systems
- HRV/ERV experience strongly preferred
- Ability to read wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical documentation
- Hands-on experience using multimeters, airflow measurement equipment, and hand/power tools
- Comfort working with low-voltage electrical systems and electronic controls
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- A problem-solving, customer-first mindset
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to customer sites

- HVAC, electrical, mechanical, or building-systems certification/training
- Experience with high-performance or energy-efficient building systems
- Residential or light commercial construction experience
- Knowledge of building codes, energy standards, or indoor air quality
- Experience with CRM or service management software

🚙 This Is a Hands-On Field Role
\n
You should be comfortable working in a variety of environments, including mechanical rooms, attics, crawl spaces, and construction sites, and lifting equipment/components up to 75 lbs.
