Job DescriptionPosition Summary

The Maintenance Mechanic II plays a vital role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of all production and facility equipment. This position is responsible for performing advanced preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on complex electro-mechanical systems, including production machinery, conveyor systems, electronic controls, and facility support equipment. The role requires strong technical expertise, independent judgment, and a commitment to safety and operational excellence.

Schedule

  • 2nd Shift: 5:00 PM – 5:15 AM
  • 2-2-3 rotating schedule

Compensation & Incentives

  • Base Pay Range: $35.00 – $42.00 per hour
  • Shift Differential: +$1.00 per hour
  • Estimated Annual Earnings: Up to $100,000 (including incentives and overtime potential)

Additional Compensation Programs:

  • Sign-On Bonus: $5,000- $2,000 after 6 months

    • $3,000 after 12 months
  • Performance Bonus: Up to $4,800 annually

  • Attendance Incentive: Up to $2,000 annually

  • Certification Incentives: Company-paid training for boiler, wastewater, and refrigeration certifications

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform advanced troubleshooting and diagnostics on mechanical and electrical systems using schematics, manuals, and technical drawings
  • Execute preventive maintenance programs to maximize equipment uptime and performance
  • Repair or replace defective components with minimal supervision
  • Maintain compliance with all safety standards and operating procedures
  • Ensure a clean, organized, and safe work environment
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior mechanics (Mechanic I level)
  • Support production needs and complete special projects as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Maintenance Mechanic, preferably in food manufacturing or pharmaceutical environments
  • Valid U.S. Driver’s License
  • Strong proficiency with hand and power tools
  • Solid understanding of GMP/cGMP standards and practices
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
