Grade Y: Mid-Level CNC Machinist
Experience: 2-5 years
Responsibilities: Advanced operation and programming of CNC machines, troubleshooting issues, training junior machinists, and improving production processes.
Skills:
·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Standard understanding of CNC machine operation
·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Proficient in speeds and feeds for aluminum and plastics
·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Needs occasional help with feeds and speeds on other materials
·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Advanced blueprint reading and interpretation
·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Datums, positional callouts, max and min material conditions
·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Standard Level Experience with CAD/CAM software (Fusion)
·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Can create 3+2 5 axis tool paths and all milling 3D surfacing tool paths or can create all turning tool paths and all milling 3D surfacing tool paths
·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Knows most tool paths (excluding simultaneous multi-axis machining)
·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Can design fixtures and edit models without help
·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Ability to set up and adjust CNC machines for different tasks
·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Can operate either turning centers and 3 axis mills
·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Ability to train and mentor entry-level machinists
·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Knowledge of advanced measuring tools and techniques
