Barre Gardens Nursing and Rehab is seeking a Housekeeping Director to oversee the housekeeping operations at our skilled nursing facility in Barre, VT.

Responsibilities
-
Follow and enforce established housekeeping procedures

Operate and maintain industrial cleaning equipment, including floor buffers and floor washers
-
Perform minor maintenance tasks such as fixing leaky faucets or faulty light switches
-
Lift and move heavy objects and remain on your feet for extended periods
-
Supervise housekeeping staff and assign daily duties and responsibilities
-
Ensure facility cleanliness meets health, safety, sanitation, and infection control standards
-
Inspect resident rooms, common areas, and workspaces to maintain cleanliness and regulatory compliance
-
Maintain housekeeping inventory and request supplies as needed
-
Train and mentor housekeeping staff on proper cleaning techniques and safety procedures
Qualifications
-
Previous housekeeping, environmental services, or maintenance experience required

Prior supervisory experience preferred
-
Familiarity with commercial cleaning materials, equipment, and safety procedures
-
Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
-
Must be at least 18 years of age
