Employment Status: Full-Time, Non-Exempt, Union
Reports To: DPW Director or designee
Salary Range: $23.00-$27.00/hour DOE
The Town of Milford, New Hampshire, is accepting applications for a full-time union Truck Driver/Laborer position within the Highway and Streets Department. This position performs a variety of duties related to road maintenance, construction, snow removal, equipment operation, and general public works activities.
We are looking for individuals who will be safety-conscious, reliable, and able to work effectively as part of our municipal team. Work is performed in a variety of weather conditions. Duties will include, but are not limited to: maintaining a safe workplace, operating light and heavy equipment, snow and ice removal, landscaping/construction, vehicle/ground building maintenance, paving, storm water/drainage and other duties as assigned. Candidate(s) must be able to understand and follow oral and written directives and must be a team player.
A successful applicant must be at least 18 years of age, have a NH Class B CDL (REQUIRED) - Class A CDL is preferred, have a High School diploma or equivalent, plus a minimum of 2 years of progressive experience within the area of winter/summer municipal road maintenance; OR possess any combination of education and experience which demonstrates the required knowledge, skill and ability. Starting Pay: $23.00 - $27.00
Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week; Winter hours = 5/8 hr days; Summer hours = 4/10 hr days; Work days usually Monday-Friday

Leave Benefits (all leave pro-rated year one): 80 hours vacation (2 weeks per year); 24 hours personal; 96 holiday hours (12 days); 64 sick hours (8 days)
