Insight Global is looking for a hands-on Manufacturing Manager to lead daily production operations while strengthening the leadership team underneath them. This person will oversee a large manufacturing workforce, drive Lean/Continuous Improvement initiatives, manage production performance, and develop supervisors and leads into stronger leaders.
The ideal candidate is a boots-on-the-ground leader who can balance hitting production goals with coaching employees, improving processes, and building a stronger culture of accountability.
Day-to-Day
- Manage daily production plan and manufacturing performance
- Lead daily tier walks and check in with production leads
- Oversee a large manufacturing workforce – ~160 people across 2 shifts / ~80 per shift
- Identify/escalate quality, equipment, production, and staffing issues
- Drive Lean/process improvements and reduce inefficiencies
- Build training and develop leads/supervisors underneath them
Top 3 Must-Haves
- 5+ years manufacturing/production leadership, with at least Supervisor-level experience; Manager preferred
- Strong Lean Manufacturing / Continuous Improvement experience: Kaizen, takt time, standardized work, process improvement
- Strong people-development leadership: coaching supervisors/leads, building training, holding people accountable, and growing employees into leadership roles
