Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Polisher / Brightboy Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have at least 6 months of experience operating polishing machines — specifically working on a polishing wheel (not hand-held tools). You will be responsible for the full polishing process, from machine start-up to shut-down, with a focus on quality, safety, and efficiency.

This position is best suited for individuals who have previous experience using mounted polishing wheels such as Brightboy wheels, and who take pride in producing high-quality surface finishes.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate polishing machines using mounted wheels, including Brightboy wheels
Perform full-cycle polishing: machine start-up, setup, operation, and shut-down
Conduct in-process visual inspections to ensure product quality and consistency
Follow work instructions and priorities provided by the supervisor
Maintain a clean and safe work environment
Specialize in specific polishing tasks when applicable, based on individual strengths and expertise
Report equipment issues or production concerns to the supervisor in a timely manner

Qualifications:

Minimum 6 months of machine polishing experience using a mounted wheel (Brightboy or similar)
Experience with full-cycle machine operation (not hand polishing)
Strong attention to detail for visual inspections and surface quality
Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
Dependable and able to work independently or as part of a team
Comfortable working in a manufacturing/production environment

Preferred Qualifications:

Prior experience with Brightboy wheels specifically
Familiarity with various polishing compounds or techniques
Mechanical aptitude or machine troubleshooting experience
