Agawam Rehab & Nursing Campus is seeking an experienced Medicaid Specialist to support our four skilled nursing locations. This is a full-time temporary position with the possibility of becoming permanent for an organized professional with experience in Medicaid processing, billing, and insurance coordination.
Salary: $65,000-$75,000 per year
What You'll Do:

Review Medicaid applications and verify financial and personal information

Interview applicants and family members as needed

Document findings and assist with Medicaid approvals and denials

Manage private billing and collection of outstanding balances

Oversee monthly aging reports

Execute admission agreements with residents

Coordinate insurance authorizations and appeals

Maintain accurate records in accordance with federal and state regulations
What We're Looking For:

1+ year of Medicaid processing experience preferred

Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and managed care reimbursement preferred

Strong verbal and written communication skills
-
Excellent organizational and attention-to-detail skills
