Responsibilities:

\n

    \n
  • Provide leadership and support for all environmental, health, and safety (EHS) activities.
  • \n

  • Develop, implement, and maintain EHS programs that promote compliance, safe work practices, and employee engagement.
  • \n

  • Drive a proactive safety culture through training, coaching, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • \n

  • Conduct safety onboarding and required regulatory training.
  • \n

  • Partner with employees and leaders to identify, assess, and mitigate workplace hazards.
  • \n

  • Lead incident investigations and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • \n

  • Maintain EHS records, permits, and regulatory reporting requirements.
  • \n

  • Perform inspections, audits, and risk assessments to ensure compliance and reduce risk.
  • \n

  • Evaluate equipment and processes to improve safety, ergonomics, and operational effectiveness.
  • \n

  • Monitor and report EHS performance metrics and trends.
  • \n

  • Support compliance audits, regulatory inspections, and sustainability initiatives.
  • \n

  • Assist with workers’ compensation, return-to-work programs, and injury prevention efforts.
  • \n

  • Stay current on EHS regulations and ensure ongoing compliance.
  • \n

  • Collaborate across departments to support business goals and employee well-being.
  • \n

Requirements:

\n

    \n
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • \n

  • 3+ years related experience in a manufacturing environment
  • \n

  • Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, DOT, and applicable state and federal regulations.
  • \n

  • Ability to lead EHS programs and influence safety performance at all levels of an organization.
  • \n

  • Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • \n

  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
  • \n

  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, management, contractors, and regulatory agencies.
  • \n

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and EHS reporting systems.
  • \n

  • Ability to travel between facilities.
  • \n

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • \n

  • Professional certifications such as CSP (Certified Safety Professional), ASP (Associate Safety Professional), CHMM, or equivalent preferred.
  • \n

  • Experience in food manufacturing, dairy processing, or other regulated manufacturing environments preferred.
  • \n

  • Experience leading regulatory audits, environmental compliance programs, and safety management systems.
  • \n

  • Experience with continuous improvement methodologies and behavior-based safety programs.
