Summary: Responsible for a variety of routine shipping, receiving, production, and housekeeping tasks including loading and unloading trucks and railcars. Production tasks include material handling, stacking, labeling, and organizing product in accordance with warehouse requirements.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Ability to work on days, nights and/or weekendsSubmission to periodic random drug testing per federal regulations and company policyDemonstrate predictable, reliable, and timely attendanceParticipate in group discussions including unit meetings, job briefings, safety meetings or process reviewsReceive instructions, requests, orders, and information from posted bulletins, memorandums, rules, and regulation manualsTurn hand brake wheel on rail cars to secure from movementCommunicate with team members via radioAbility to communicate precise movements of equipment based on customer and safety requirementsSpatial reasoning skills requiredPerform other duties as requested or requiredMaintain a clean, neat, and orderly work areaAssist in physical inventory countsInspect equipment before and after shiftsTop off equipment fluids as necessaryShippingPrepare orders for shipment in accordance with the pick ticket / BOL and customer requirementsComplete product inventory at multiple stages through the product lifecyclePackage / load and ship safely without causing damageMaintain cleanliness of work areaOrganize BOL/Manifests and cross check with customer order ticket to ensure accuracy of product being loadedComply with all safety rules and procedures throughout duration of work dayReceivingAbility to unload multiple types of containers including flatbed, van trailer, and box cars through a variety of weather conditions indoors and outdoorsSort, count, package, label, and unpack inventory that is receivedInspect shipments for damages, loss, or defectsOperate dolly, pallet jack, and/or forklift in loading and unloading material and equipmentShrink wrap palletized product to protect from damageRestack damaged product, consolidate partial pallets by hand as necessaryEnsure proper stock rotationQualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
