Job Title: Shipping and Receiving Clerk
Job Description
This full-time Shipping and Receiving Clerk role focuses on efficiently managing inbound and outbound shipments in a warehouse and manufacturing environment. You will unload, check, store, and accurately account for inventory, operate forklifts, and support daily shipping and receiving activities to ensure products, materials, and supplies move smoothly through the facility.
Pay: $18 - $23 (depending on experience) + overtime available
Shift: First (1st) shift: 7:30am - 4:00pm, Monday - Friday
Responsibilities
- Manage the shipment of all products, materials, and supplies, ensuring accurate and timely processing of inbound and outbound deliveries.
- Accept, unload, inspect, and store incoming deliveries while verifying quantities and product condition against documentation.
- Track, trace, and update the status of outgoing shipments using appropriate shipping systems and inventory tools.
- Collaborate and communicate effectively with logistics technicians, customer service representatives, service providers, and other internal and external stakeholders involved in the shipment of products.
- Maintain a clean, neat, and customer-ready warehouse and shipping/receiving area to support safe and efficient operations.
- Maintain accurate log sheets of daily moves, including scanning inventory and performing precise counts of stock.
- Engage with vendors and drivers in a professional and positive manner to facilitate smooth deliveries and pickups.
- Provide backup support to shipping and receiving departments as needed to meet daily operational demands.
- Pull, pack, and load orders for shipment, ensuring correct items, quantities, and packaging standards.
- Perform daily cycle counts of raw materials, components, and finished goods to maintain accurate inventory records.
- Operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts safely to move, load, and unload materials and products.
- Scan and sort outgoing stock to ensure shipments are organized and correctly routed.
- Follow warehouse safety regulations and best practices to minimize risk and maintain a safe work environment.
- Use computers and inventory software programs for data entry, shipment processing, and inventory management.
- Communicate effectively through Outlook email and Microsoft Teams to coordinate tasks and share information.
- Demonstrate strong time management, organization, and urgency to meet shipping and receiving deadlines.
- Work independently and as part of a team to support overall warehouse and manufacturing operations.
- Maintain strong attendance and punctuality to support consistent workflow and reliability.
- Lift and move heavy items, including loads of 50+ pounds, as part of daily warehouse activities.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- Experience with UPS WorldShip and FedEx Ship Manager is preferred.
- Experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment working with inventory and material handling.
- Customer service mindset when engaging with vendors, drivers, and internal stakeholders.
- Attention to detail when logging moves, scanning inventory, and performing cycle counts.

Work Environment
The role is based in a family-feel manufacturing environment that works with leather products, combining warehouse operations with production activities. You will spend most of your time in a warehouse setting, operating sit-down and stand-up forklifts, handling raw materials, components, and finished goods, and using computers and inventory software for data entry and shipment processing. The environment emphasizes safety, cleanliness, and organization, with an expectation that work areas remain neat and ready for visitors or customers. The work is physically active, involving regular lifting of 50+ pounds, moving materials, and working on your feet throughout the shift.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Brockton, MA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $23.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
