The Housekeeper/Room Attendant is primarily responsible for maintaining clean and attractive guest rooms and suites, hallways, and public areas in the resort, servicing guest rooms daily in accordance with resort procedures, stocking cart with room supplies, and replacing bed linens and replenishing guest supplies while following company standards and safety/security procedures.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Approach all encounters with guests and employees in a friendly, luxury service-oriented manner.
  • Maintain regular attendance in compliance with The Lake Estate on Winnisquam standards as required by scheduling, which will vary according to the needs of the resort.
  • Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which include the proper uniform and name tag when working.
  • Always comply with the company's standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient resort operations.
  • Thoroughly clean and restock the required number of guest rooms per shift.
  • Complete all pre-cleaning duties, including but not limited to, guest supplies, cleaning supplies, and linen for housekeeping cart set-up.
  • Remove all trash and dirty linen from guest rooms.
  • Clean and stage guest room and bathroom to standards.
  • Perform other tasks as may be assigned by supervisor or manager.
  • Interact and have unsupervised contact with guests and co-workers.
  • Access and control to sensitive areas in the resort premises, including Master Keys, guest rooms and storage areas as well as being exposed to potentially sensitive information.
  • Maintain a high level of trust and responsibility.
  • Represent the company with a certain level of reputation and good character as well as the ability to exercise sound judgement.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent and/or experience in a luxury hotel/resort or a related field preferred.
  • This position requires strong attention to detail and an ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members.
  • Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly.
  • Must work well in stressful, high-pressure situations.
