Job Title: Foreman
Job Description
The role of a Foreman involves working primarily at a large industrial facility in the Springfield, Massachusetts area. The successful candidate will be responsible for constructing, remodeling, retrofitting, and repairing interior and exterior structures made of wood, metal, drywall, plaster, concrete, or brick. Additionally, the role includes site maintenance tasks such as landscaping and snow removal. All tasks will be executed under the guidance of the site supervisor. This position is full time offering competitive pay and benefits!
Responsibilities
- Construct and remodel interior and exterior structures using various materials.
- Retrofit and repair structures made of wood, metal, drywall, plaster, concrete, or brick.
- Perform site maintenance duties, including landscaping and snow removal.
- Follow instructions and work under the supervision of the site supervisor.
Essential Skills
- OSHA 10 certification
- 3-4 years of construction experience
- Reliable transportation
- Basic hand tools proficiency
- 1-2 years of carpentry experience
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Strong willingness to learn and take direction well
- Punctuality and commitment to show up to work on time
- Eagerness to advance into a carpentry role

Work Environment
Work hours are from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, Monday through Friday, with occasional Saturday work depending on project needs. Sunday work is compensated at double time, and overtime is required. The team typically consists of 3-4 members, including a supervisor and two laborers. The dress code requires steel-toed boots, long pants, and long sleeves when working at chemical plants. Personal protective equipment such as hard hats and safety glasses are provided. Candidates need to have basic hand tools, including a tool pouch, utility knife, speed square, hammer, tape measure, and pencil.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chicopee, MA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $35.00/hr.
