Job Description

Job DescriptionDo you thrive on precision, pace, and problem-solving?

If threading film, dialing in temperatures and speeds, and catching tiny visual defects sounds satisfying, you’ll feel at home on our production floor. ITW (Illinois Tool Works) in Newburyport, MA 01950 is hiring a direct-hire Web‑Fed Thermoplastic Embossing Operator to run embossing and slitting equipment that produces holographic finishes and tightly specified rolls.

Imagine this scenario

A customer needs a rush order. You scan the schedule, prep inventory, and set up the line. Rollers and blades are aligned with hand tools. Film is threaded; parameters are tuned; the first sheets look sharp. A slight deviation appears—you adjust temperature and speed, re-check quality, log results per SOP, and keep production on track. Between runs, you clean the machine, tweak slit widths, and load new material at unwind/rewind. You collaborate with your Team Lead, support a neighboring line, and update labels and run sheets on the computer. That’s a win.
