Overview:

Compensation:
$70,000 - 80,000 annually
Responsibilities:
• Execute monthly bank reconciliations across various accounts, ensuring accuracy and resolving discrepancies efficiently
• Oversee weekly banking transactions, recording and tracking activity meticulously
• Handle tenant payment processing, including checks and electronic transfers
• Maintain and update tenant ledgers, supporting collection efforts as needed
• Assist with invoicing for commercial and utility billing processes
• Generate recurring accounts receivable and aging reports to monitor outstanding balances
• Review, categorize, and process vendor invoices with precision
• Assign expenses accurately to property and general ledger accounts
• Correspond with vendors regarding invoice statuses and payment inquiries
• Import recurring and bulk transactions smoothly into the financial systems
• Prepare and post routine journal entries, including payroll allocations, management fees, and income adjustments
• Conduct intercompany and inter-property reclassifications as necessary
• Keep detailed supporting schedules and internal tracking documents up to date
• Collaborate with property management and leasing teams to ensure accurate tenant account records
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to special projects for continuous improvement
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline
• 3+ years of accounting experience, including internships preferred
• Experience in real estate or property management is a plus
• Solid understanding of fundamental accounting practices
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Excellent organizational and communication abilities
• Capable of juggling multiple priorities and meeting deadlines efficiently
• Yardi software experience is advantageous
