Job Summary:

Responsible for creating detail designs and drawings in support of new and existing products. Typically is assigned to work under the supervision of a Project Engineer.

Job Duties:

  • Creates assembly/detail drawings and bills of material in support of the mechanical engineering group.
  • Create /modify line layouts in support of line quotes and line projects.
  • Maintain upkeep of assembly and part drawings for IMA equipment.
  • Special projects or support items as may be assigned by Director of Engineering or other managerial personnel.
  • Process ECNs as required to complete design changes.
  • Attend project meetings to gain an understanding of the customer needs and requirements for machine design.
  • Provide assistance in the upkeep of IMA drafting standards and procedures.
  • Design minor machine components and assemblies with information provided mechanical engineering team.
  • Analyses internal processes to make recommendations for improvements to management.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Strong team player.

  • Leadership ability.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Focused on quality of work, possesses high attention to detail.
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite and 2D and 3D CAD modeling.

Education/ Experience:

  • 2 year technical degree
  • 2+ years design experience.

Physical Requirements:

  • Manual dexterity to use a keyboard.
  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time.
  • Able to hear and speak clearly in person and over the phone.
  • Occasional travel required.
  • Valid driver’s license and passport.
  • Ability to work long days in order to get work completed as needed.
