Metal Grinder / Manual Grinder

Location: Methuen, MA
Shift: 1st Shift, Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
Pay Rate: $17.00 - $22.00 per hour (based on experience)

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Metal Grinder to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for manually grinding and finishing welded steel and aluminum components to ensure a smooth, high-quality finish. This position requires attention to detail, the ability to follow verbal and visual instructions, and a commitment to safety and quality. [Grinder Manual | Word]

Responsibilities

Grind, smooth, and finish welded steel and aluminum parts using hand grinders and other finishing tools.
Remove excess weld material, burrs, rough edges, and surface imperfections.
Inspect finished products to ensure quality standards are met.
Follow blueprints, work instructions, and supervisor directions.
Maintain a clean and safe work area.
Perform routine maintenance on grinding equipment.
Assist with other production tasks as needed.

Qualifications

Experience working with steel and aluminum materials.
Ability to use hand and power grinding tools safely and effectively.
Strong attention to detail and quality.
Ability to read and follow verbal and visual instructions.
Automotive body repair or collision repair experience is a plus.
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
