Job Title: Mechatronics Engineer I
Location: Beverly, MA on-site
Compensation: $85k-$105k /yr
Rquirements: BS or MS in Engineering (Mechanical, Mechatronics, Electrical, Systems or related field) 1-5 yearsrelative experience, electro-mechanical systems and components, Proficiency in SolidWorks (GD&T knowledge preferred) Experience with testing equipment
About the Role: A growing engineering-driven manufacturer is seeking a Mechatronics Engineer I to support the design, development, and testing of advanced electro-mechanical systems. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who enjoys working across both mechanical and electrical disciplines in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop electro-mechanical systems from concept through production
- Create CAD models, drawings, and documentation (SolidWorks)
- Integrate components such as motors, gears, actuators, sensors, and controllers
- Build, test, and troubleshoot systems at both component and system levels
- Develop assembly and test procedures and generate reports
- Collaborate with manufacturing and sourcing teams on BOMs and vendor selection
- Manage multiple projects and priorities effectively
- Communicate technical details with internal teams, vendors, and customers
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or related)
- 1-6 years of relevant experience
- Strong understanding of electro-mechanical systems and components
- Proficiency in SolidWorks (GD&T knowledge preferred)
- Experience with testing equipment (multimeters, oscilloscopes, etc.) is a plus
- Hands-on experience with mechanical/electrical assembly is a plus
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Programming experience (Python, LabVIEW, or similar)
- Servo drive or motion control experience
- Exposure to robotics or automated machinery
- PCB design/development experience
- ERP system familiarity
