Senior Payroll Associate
$90K-$100K Base | Boston, MA | Hybrid 3 days/week

A leading PE firm is seeking a Senior Payroll Associate to join its established Payroll team in Boston. This role will support payroll processing for 1,000+ U.S. employees across exempt and non-exempt populations, while partnering closely with Finance, HR, ADP, and internal teams.

This is a strong opportunity for an experienced payroll professional who is comfortable in a fast-paced, multi-business-unit environment and enjoys owning payroll operations, reconciliations, employee support, and payroll-related projects.

Key Responsibilities:

- \n
- Process multi-state bi-weekly payroll using ADP
- Communicate with ADP to resolve payroll issues and prepare manual off-cycle payments
- Enter payroll journal entries and reconcile payroll activity in Workday
- Manage payroll items including fringe benefits, deductions, 401(k) elections, and bank reconciliations
- Respond to employee payroll questions and help resolve payroll-related issues
- Assist with payroll audits, corporate audits, HR/Finance projects, and ad hoc requests

Qualifications:
\n
- \n
- 5-8 years of payroll experience
- Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Finance or Accounting
- Experience with ADP required; ADP Workforce Now preferred
- Workday experience required
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Outlook, and Word
- Strong communication, organization, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion in a complex, fast-paced environment
