Job Description

CNC Programmer and Machinist Position Summary:

Micro Machine & Electronics, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced CNC Programmer and Machinist to join our team of precision manufacturing experts in Leominster, MA. As a CNC Machinist, you will play a critical role in producing complex, high-tolerance parts and components for our clients across various industries. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of CNC machining principles, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Payscale: $33 - $40+ per hour

Key Responsibilities:

Set up, program, and operate CNC machines to fabricate precision parts and components from a variety of materials.
Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to determine production requirements.
Perform in-process quality checks using various measuring tools, such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges, to ensure adherence to tight tolerances and specifications.
Maintain and monitor cutting tools, ensuring optimal performance and quality output.
Collaborate with engineers, designers, and quality personnel to resolve production issues and improve processes.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, including the implementation of new technologies and techniques.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area, adhering to all safety regulations and company policies.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Minimum of 3 years of experience as a CNC Programmer and 5 Years as a Machinist in a precision manufacturing environment.
Strong knowledge of CNC programming and G-code, with a focus on either milling or turning.
Proficient in the use of precision measuring tools and equipment.
Experience working with a variety of materials, including metals, plastics, and composites.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on teamwork.
High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in CNC machining preferred.
