CNC Programmer and Machinist Position Summary:

Micro Machine & Electronics, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced CNC Programmer and Machinist to join our team of precision manufacturing experts in Leominster, MA. As a CNC Machinist, you will play a critical role in producing complex, high-tolerance parts and components for our clients across various industries. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of CNC machining principles, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Payscale: $33 - $40+ per hour

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up, program, and operate CNC machines to fabricate precision parts and components from a variety of materials.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to determine production requirements.
  • Perform in-process quality checks using various measuring tools, such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges, to ensure adherence to tight tolerances and specifications.
  • Maintain and monitor cutting tools, ensuring optimal performance and quality output.
  • Collaborate with engineers, designers, and quality personnel to resolve production issues and improve processes.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, including the implementation of new technologies and techniques.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area, adhering to all safety regulations and company policies.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a CNC Programmer and 5 Years as a Machinist in a precision manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of CNC programming and G-code, with a focus on either milling or turning.
  • Proficient in the use of precision measuring tools and equipment.
  • Experience working with a variety of materials, including metals, plastics, and composites.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on teamwork.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in CNC machining preferred.
