We are looking for a Plating Technician who will perform electrolytic and electroless plating operations. Provide technical support to process engineering and production personnel in all areas of chemical processing. Duties also include involvement in chemical production/materials support, process and yield improvement efforts, equipment preventive maintenance, as well as various engineering-related projects.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for performing a variety of chemical processing operations under the direction of the plating supervisor or group leader. Operations include but are not limited to electrolytic and electroless plating, link and resist stripping, loading/unloading product to plating racks, and handling of process chemicals
- Responsible for reading and following instructions as well as completing process and product documentation as required
- Responsible for inspecting work to ensure the product meets Quality requirements
- Participate in troubleshooting production problems related to equipment, processes, and products
- Support all continuous improvement activities including but not limited to cost reduction, Kaizen team actions, 5S coordination, mistake proofing, and value stream improvements to production flows
- Comply with and support company policies and programs regarding safety, security, environmental, ISO, EEO, and OSHA
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or recognized equivalent credential required
- Associate degree in a technical field or equivalent education from a technical or trade school preferred
- 2 Years’ minimum experience working in manufacturing preferred, ideally in the electronics, microelectronics, PCB, or plating industries
- Ability to understand technical processes, perform mathematical calculations, and apply measurements and formulas in a production environment
- Ability to lift racks weighing up to 25 lbs. in and out of chemical solution and water rinse tanks
- Ability to load and unload fragile parts into electrolytic rack contact points, verifying orientation, stability, and electrical connection
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work well with other people
- Analytical thinking and troubleshooting capabilities
- Proficiency in using most Windows-based software
- A self-starter with a quality mindset and a sense of urgency to meet production goals and customer expectations

The compensation hourly range for this role from $21 to $26 per hour. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, and certifications.
