To manage Tri-K’s team of Shipping and Receiving employees with Safety as top priority. Ensuring our Raw Material and Finished good inventory is processed for movement in superior condition to allow for continuous production/ shipments on time and in full to our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assure all employees are working safely and do whatever possible to provide a safe work environment for all S&R employees.
- Manage the shipping and receiving department to maintain a safe work environment.
- Train incoming S&R team members
- Ensure departmental Work Instructions & SOPs are updated and followed S&R
- Oversee all incoming & outgoing shipments (incl. finished goods and raw materials)
- Process RMAS (returned products) in timely manner
- Ensure team pulls raw materials weekly for production using “FIFO”
- Oversee the processing of Barcom/NAV transactions; point of escalation for errors found.
- Certified forklift trainer for the Derry facility to train all employees
- Assist of the floor as needed to get the workload completed in a timely manner.
- Analyze day to day to initiate continuous improvements for S&R
- Utilize 5S, Kaizen and LEAN engagements to eliminate wasted work and improve our procedures.
- Manage team expectations to ensure Tri-K remains compliant with GMP, ISO and USDA guidelines.
- Maintain training & certifications (as needed) in “Hazmat-team DOT Manifest” regulations and “OSHA Emergency Response Awareness of DOT Security and Haz Waste.”
- Liaise with the Logistic Order Fulfillment Team, Sales team, Production, Senior Supply Chain & Accounting to efficiently operate and enforce solid communication between the departments.
- Handle ALL departmental discrepancies in a timely manner and implement preventive actions as needed.
- Manage the S&R department is completing the responsibilities listed on the “Warehouse Operator Job Description.”
- Participates and Approves Changes (as required)
Qualifications:
Competencies:
- Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task
- Strong familiarity and comfort level with inbound and outbound freight, clearance and forwarding
- Knowledge of ISO & GMP is a plus
- Strong ability to communicate cross functionally across all levels within our organization.
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to problem solve in timely manner
- Adaptability to change.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily or have an ability to learn essential duties.
- Forklift certification and Trainer Certification a must.

- 5-10 years’ experience in Shipping & Receiving Management
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs. or more safely.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, and technical procedures.
- Ability to write reports and business correspondence & present information professionally.
- Knowledge of ERP software (Microsoft Dynamics Nav preferred); Microsoft Office
