Job Description

Job DescriptionPURPOSE OF JOBVerifies specifications for correct fit, dimensions, and workmanship.
RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assembles components by Inspects and exams finished products for correct fit dimensions and workmanship.
  • Verifies specifications by measuring completed components using ruler, scale, dynascope, calipers, and micrometers.
  • Use inspection microscope for entire shift to verify workmanship of product.
  • Follows all product handling procedures; handles product with care.
  • Works as part of the assembly team that is responsible for assembling an entire product or component of a product.
  • Notifies group leader or supervisor of nay finished products that are not in compliance who then obtains additional resources to correct the issue.
  • Maintains a safe and clean work environment by following procedures, rules and regulations.
  • Documents actions by completing production forms and routers/paperwork.
  • Contributes to a team effort by accomplishing related goals and results as needed
  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.


REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION:

  • High School diploma, GED or equivalent (required).

EXPERIENCE:

  • 6 -12 months experience as an inspector and production quality control.
  • Ability to work with microscopes and various measuring devices.
  • Have basic to moderate levels of mathematical skills, and understanding of operation of equipment and machinery used in the department.

POSITION SKILLS:

  • Good hand eye dexterity.
  • Good communications skills both written and orally.
  • Must be able to use various measuring devices to ensure proper tolerances on finished product.
  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
  • Ability to use inspection microscope to verify workmanship of product.
  • Ability to perform routine, repetitive tasks with simple instructions.
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions that require few changes.
  • Ability to follow detailed procedures with several potential variables.
  • Ability to communicate questions/standards with department supervisor and co-workers.
