Job DescriptionElectro-Mechanical Assembler - 1st Shift
The Electro-Mechanical Assembler position in Billerica, MA offers a unique opportunity to work on complex capital equipment that plays a crucial role in security and safety. This role is ideal for candidates with experience in large capital equipment or industrial assembly.
Shift of the Electro-Mechanical Assembler:
1st Shift: 6:30 AM to 2:30 PM (can start as late as 7 AM)
Pay Rate of the Electro-Mechanical Assembler:
$25/hr
Responsibilities of the Electro-Mechanical Assembler:
- Perform a wide range of electromechanical assembly with demonstrated skill in cabling systems, connecting, and torquing large and small assemblies.
- Utilize a strong mechanical and electrical background along with general hand tools.
- Conduct assembly operations including drilling, reaming, burnishing, and tapping.
- Execute crimping and pull testing of crimps.
- Maintain productivity and proactively move between job assignments without specific direction.
Qualifications of the Electro-Mechanical Assembler:
- Understanding of 5S principles and personal accountability for workspace and tooling.
- Willingness to work outside in non-ideal conditions while upholding quality and safety principles.
- Ability to check BOMs, manage inventory, and complete accurate, timely paperwork.
- Capability to transition easily between product lines with minimal training.
- Knowledge of bills of materials (BOM) structure and ability to read and interpret assembly and schematic diagrams.
