\nHubbell is seeking an experienced CNC Programmer to support CNC programming, setup, and machining operations within our additive manufacturing operation. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with CNC programming, setup, tooling, and machining processes, along with the ability to collaborate with Operations and Engineering teams to produce high-quality prototype and production parts. \n
\n
\nThis is a hands-on role supporting a mix of prototype and production work in a growing manufacturing environment. The CNC Programmer will contribute to machining process development, fixture implementation, quality inspection, documentation, and day-to-day shop activities. \n

A Day In The Life\n
\n
\nCreate, modify, and optimize CNC programs for prototype and production components. \n
\n
\nPerform machine setup and operation of CNC milling equipment. \n
\n
\nSelect tooling, workholding, and machining parameters to achieve required quality and productivity targets. \n
\n
\nSupport fixture design, fabrication, and implementation for new and existing products. \n
\n
\nCollaborate with Engineering to review part designs, tolerances, materials, and manufacturability considerations. \n
\n
\nTroubleshoot machining, tooling, fixturing, and quality issues and support corrective actions. \n
\n
\nCreate and maintain setup sheets, work instructions, tooling documentation, and process records. \n
\n
\nInspect parts using calipers, micrometers, gauge pins, optical measurement equipment, 3D scanners, and other metrology tools. \n
\n
\nSupport first-piece inspections and ongoing process verification activities. \n
\n
\nAssist with continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, delivery, and efficiency. \n
\n
\nMaintain tooling, consumables, and material inventory for machining operations. \n
\n
\nSupport general manufacturing activities including assembly, shipping/receiving, scheduling support, and material flow as needed. \n
\n
\nMaintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment. \n
\n
What will help you thrive in this role?\n
\n
\nHigh school diploma or vocational/technical training in machining, manufacturing, or related discipline. \n
\n
\n5+ years of CNC machining experience, including CNC programming, setup, and operation. \n
\n
\nExperience with 3-, 4-, or 5-axis milling environments. \n
\n
\nProficiency with CAM software such as Mastercam. \n
\n
\nWorking knowledge of CAD software such as Fusion 360, Autodesk Inventor, or SOLIDWORKS. \n
\n
\nAbility to read and interpret engineering drawings, dimensions, tolerances, and GD&T. \n
\n
\nStrong understanding of tooling selection, workholding, machining practices, and process optimization. \n
\n
\nExperience in machinery of a variety of metals and engineering materials. \n
\n
\nExperience with Okuma equipment and OSP controls preferred. \n
\n
\nFamiliarity with inspection equipment and quality-control procedures preferred. \n
\n
\nStrong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. \n
\n
\nAbility to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. \n
\n
\nComfortable balancing multiple priorities while maintaining accurate documentation and process discipline. \n
