Insurance Services Specialist
Type: Contract to Hire
Location: Hybrid in Worcester, MA
Schedule: M-F, Standard shift + rotating Saturday
Compensation: $25/hour
Responsibilities:
- Effectively and accurately explain products/coverages and answer questions for policyholders
- Offer products and coverages that meet the needs of policyholders' unique situations
- Process transactions and have consultative conversations to identify needs and take actions
- Relay information and make decisions using established underwriting guidelines/procedures
- Recommend/sell additional or increased coverage and provide quotes using carrier guidelines
- Review correspondence, request additional details, and draft responses to service requests
- Independently interpret and verify coverages/data and document interactions in systems
- Achieve performance metrics including schedule adherence, average handle time, and production
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience working for an insurance carrier/agency
- Must have and maintain active P&C state licenses and CE credits
- Strong customer service and sales experience; Prior call center work is highly preferred
- Solutions-oriented critical thinker with strong organizational and time management skills
- Tech-savvy team player who can utilize resources to advise/intervene/influence policyholders
