SCOPE OF WORK: Provides administrative support for MCC’s workforce development healthcare programs. These programs, though administered through MCC, that run at: MCC and NHTI. This position reports to the Healthcare Program Manager at MCC.

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Supports the program manager in aspects of class set up and scheduling updates on our website.
  • Organize and prepare student information flyers and packets for onboarding.
  • Monitor students’ application and admission requirements to healthcare programs and assist program manager with phone calls, emails and any follow-up required for the application process and/or throughout the class.
  • Maintain student online (scanned) and paper files, in accordance with Board of Nursing requirements.
  • Prepare student orientation packets for the start of class.
  • Order and maintain supplies, clinical supplies, textbooks, and other items related to health care program classes, while also providing input to supervisor in preparation for budget expenses associated with supplies.
  • Maintains and organizes clinical lab and lab equipment.
  • Support the student practicum experience including student hours and time sheets.
  • Assist with preparing student certificates of completion.
  • Supports the program manager to maintain curricula and course documents.
  • Representing the program in program-related activities externally if needed.
  • Use Outlook, Microsoft work, Zoom, training courses online and shared files.
  • Participate in MCC activities and programs as appropriate.
  • Complies with all system, college, state and federal rules and regulations.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: High School diploma or equivalent credential. Each additional year of approved formal education may be substituted for one year of required work experience.

Experience: Five (5) years’ experience in a responsible clerical position, including experience in customer service, education, or higher education administration or services.

Licensure/Certification: Possession of a valid driver’s license and/or have access to transportation for statewide travel.

RECOMMENDED WORK TRAITS: Ability to work effectively as a member of a team. Experience working with technology including Office Suite, and Banner. Detailed orientated and experienced in accurate data entry. Ability to handle multiple tasks and projects at once. Knowledge of the organization and operations of the departments or college in which position is assigned. Knowledge of record keeping and reporting practices. Knowledge of the regulations pertaining to departmental programs. Some knowledge of the principles and practices of public administration. Ability to contribute to the development of sound operational procedures. Ability to make sound judgment in researching and appraising situations and making routine decisions. Ability to follow specific instructions in gathering facts, data, or resources in organizing required information. Ability to make decisions based upon fact-finding interviews within the parameters of the rules and policies of the college. Ability to present ideas clearly and effectively. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees and the public. Must be willing to maintain an appearance appropriate to assigned duties and responsibilities as determined by the college’s appointing authority.
