Job Title: Production Supervisor
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Production Supervisor to lead and manage our production team. The ideal candidate will ensure that daily production goals are met while maintaining high quality standards and adherence to safety regulations. This role requires strong leadership, organizational skills, and the ability to foster a collaborative team environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise production employees to achieve daily production goals, quality standards, and safety requirements.
- Plan, assign, and monitor work activities to optimize productivity and efficiency.
- Foster communication and collaboration between shifts and across departments.
- Collaborate with various teams to resolve production challenges and enhance workflow.
- Train, mentor, and develop employees to improve performance and skills.
- Monitor production schedules, equipment downtime, and scrap rates, implementing corrective actions as needed.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and communicate process improvements to management.
- Conduct employee performance evaluations and provide ongoing coaching and feedback.
- Review employee attendance and payroll-related information for accuracy.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and quality standards.
- Prepare and maintain accurate production reports and shift documentation.
Essential Skills
- High school diploma or GED.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
- Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Previous supervisory or team leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience in plastics manufacturing.
- Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification.
- Experience with continuous improvement and process optimization initiatives.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced production environment.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Effective time management and organizational capabilities.
- Commitment to workplace safety, quality, and operational excellence.
Work Environment
The work schedule is from 2:45 pm to 11:30 pm, Monday to Friday, with an expectation of 5 to 6 hours of overtime each week. The role is situated in a collaborative team environment focused on continuous improvement and employee success. This is a Permanent position based out of Pittsfield, MA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $60320.00/yr.
Paid Time Off (PTO) • 1st Year: Accrue PTO at 6 hours per month beginning on your hire date, up to a maximum of 8 days. • 2nd–3rd Years: 8 days annually. • 4th–5th Years: 13 days annually. • 6th–9th Years: 18 days annually. • 10+ Years: 23 days annually. Additional PTO may be negotiated based on experience and qualifications.
