Position Purpose
\n
The Machinist is responsible for the operation of CNC metal lathes, cylindrical grinders, horizontal grinders and laser etching machines.
\n
Responsibilities/Duties/Functions/Tasks
\n
In accordance with all company policies, the Machinist position will:
\n
- \n
- Operate CNC lathe.
- Operate cylindrical grinders (manual and CNC).
- Operate face and bevel grinders.
- Operate etching machines.
- Examine products to ensure conformance to quality standards.
- Accurately measure products using micrometers and calipers.
- Safely handle products belonging to the company and its customers.
- Safely load, unload, and operate the delivery truck.
- Assist the Warehouse Manager with shipping and receiving duties, as needed.

· Contribute to the team effort by completing special projects as determined by management.
\n
Qualifications
\n
Education: High School diploma or equivalent
\n
Licenses: Valid driver’s license, valid DOT Medical Examiner’s Certificate
\n
If a valid certificate is not available, must be able to pass the physical to obtain the certificate.
\n
Language: Proficiency in English
\n
Specialized Proficiencies: Ability to manage processes, Organizational skills, Professionalism, Mechanical aptitude. Experience in CNC programming a plus
\n
Work Requirements
\n
Physical Effort: Moderate to heavy physical effort required. Regularly required to stand for extended periods, sit, walk, reach overhead, lift up to 50 pounds, communicate effectively, and perform computer keyboarding.
\n
Travel Requirements: Some regional travel required. No night or weekend travel.
\n
