The Operations Specialist (Mutual Fund Services) is responsible for performing high-level specialized operational fund account opening activities. This role supports the firm's business lines and involves dealing with moderately complex issues. Some objectives include fund account documentation review and execution, communication with fund companies, processing and recording transactions, reporting and acknowledgment, and reconciliation.

  • Hybrid schedule: 2 days remote / 3 days in office

  • Weekly hours: 40 hours
  • \n

  • Expected term: One year or longer
  • \n

  • Contract, but temp to perm
  • \n

  • Pay: $24 an hour
  • \n

Key Responsibilities:

\n

    \n
  • Process transactions and verify information
  • \n

  • Perform intraday and end-of-day reconciliation
  • \n

  • Ensure all deadlines and requirements are met
  • \n

  • Provide superior client service
  • \n

  • Ensure timely response to internal and external requests
  • \n

  • Follow up on open inquiries
  • \n

  • Identify and document errors to reduce exposure
  • \n

  • Interact with other departments for issue resolution
  • \n

  • Manage associated fund account projects
  • \n

  • Assist with defining procedures and controls
  • \n

  • Prepare and execute required fund documentation
  • \n

  • Investigate and respond to inquiries related to fund account openings
  • \n

  • Maintain and review daily department reports
  • \n

Qualifications:

\n

    \n
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • \n

  • Recent Graduate
  • \n

  • 1 to 2 years of financial services experience (internships count)
  • \n

  • Proven knowledge of one or more product areas within Operations
  • \n

  • Ability to perform technical responsibilities with high competence
  • \n

\n
