Assistant Controller – Manufacturing

Position Summary

\n

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Assistant Controller to support the financial operations of a fast-paced manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for assisting with day-to-day accounting functions, payroll processing, accounts payable and accounts receivable, financial reporting, and general ledger activities. The ideal candidate has strong manufacturing accounting experience, advanced Excel skills, and experience working with Sage 300 and payroll systems such as Checkwriters.

\n Key Responsibilitie

\n

• sAssist the Controller with month-end and year-end close processes

\n

• .Process and reconcile Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) transactions accurately and timely

\n

• .Process payroll using Checkwriters, including exporting payroll data and importing it into Sage 300

\n

• .Maintain the general ledger and prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules

\n

• .Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and other balance sheet accounts

\n

• .Prepare financial reports and assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis

\n

• .Support inventory and cost accounting functions within a manufacturing environment

\n

• .Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and internal controls

\n

• .Assist with external audits by preparing requested schedules and documentation

\n

• .Analyze financial data to identify trends and recommend process improvements

\n

• .Collaborate with operations and other departments to ensure accurate financial reporting
