What You'll Do
We have an excellent opportunity for a Fleet Manager to oversee fleet operations and maintenance. This position is full-time and reports to the Director of Core Operations. The position is located in Woburn, MA, and occasional travel to our Warwick, Rhode Island location is required.
The Day-to-Day
- Establish and monitor leasing, purchasing, operational, and replacement strategies for efficient fleet operations
- Provide KPI data related to all fleet operations, including safety, quality, and maintenance
- Follow up on driver pre-and post-inspections
- Invoice reconciliation and processing to accounts payable
- Ensure that safety concerns or issues are addressed immediately and within company policies
- Effectively communicate fleet repair schedules with internal and external customers, management, and vendors
- Establish and maintain vehicle operating and maintenance cost records
- Closely work with Dispatch to ensure accuracy and efficiency
- Maintain GPS system
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local laws and regulations
- Forecast both seasonal and long-term equipment needs
- Maintain accurate fleet logs
- Process Insurance claims
- Ensure PEAK obtains all necessary licenses and registrations
Requirements:
What We're Looking For
- MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) experience and internet abilities
- 2+ years of prior experience working in the vehicle or fleet leasing/maintenance/repair/sales industry and general familiarity with vehicle maintenance terminology
- Outstanding customer service abilities
- Excellent organizational skills
- Ability to multitask
- General knowledge of safety and best practices
- Great math skills a must
- Must be able to stand or sit for long periods of time
- Lift 45 lbs. on occasion
- Experience with DOT compliance and light fleet repairs, a plus
