Warehouse Manager — Food Distribution (Southborough, MA)

Bay State Deli Provisions is a family-owned, Massachusetts-based distributor specializing in premium Boar’s Head Brand products and other high-quality food lines. We service supermarkets, delis, and food-service accounts across New England, providing exceptional quality and customer support.
We’re seeking a hands-on Warehouse Manager to oversee daily operations of our Southborough distribution facility and lead a small, dedicated team in a fast-paced, refrigerated environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily warehouse operations — receiving, order selection, truck loading, and inventory control.
- Supervise, train, and schedule warehouse associates and drivers.
- Maintain product rotation, quality standards, and food-safety compliance (HACCP, FIFO).
- Manage incoming/outgoing shipments, reconcile invoices, and ensure order accuracy.
- Coordinate maintenance and cleanliness of warehouse, trucks, and equipment.
- Monitor productivity, safety, and efficiency — implementing process improvements where needed.
- Collaborate with the owner and sales team to plan daily routes and order flow.
- Utilize warehouse software and QuickBooks reports for tracking inventory and performance.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years warehouse or logistics management experience (food distribution preferred).
- Strong leadership and communication skills — hands-on, team-first mindset.
- Experience with inventory systems, order management, and route scheduling.
- Valid driver’s license; Reliable transportation.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in a refrigerated environment.
- Knowledge of Boar’s Head, deli, or perishable distribution a plus.
- Employment subject to background/CORI check and pre-employment drug test after a conditional offer.
- Employment is contingent upon proof of identity and authorization to work in the United States, as required by federal law (Form I-9).
Schedule & Compensation
- Full-time, Monday – Friday (occasional Saturdays).
- $62,500 base — higher pay available for experienced candidates
