Our client is seeking a qualified Quality Assurance (QA) Technician to support their production operations through testing, inspections, audits, and documentation. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of quality control processes, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work in both laboratory and production environments.

Starting Rate: $24.50/Hr.

1st Shift Schedule: 4- 10 hour days

Quality Control Job Duties:

  • Conduct routine physical and chemical testing on production and competitive materials to ensure compliance with internal specifications and industry standards.

  • Monitor production via visual inspections and spot checks to ensure consistent quality.

  • Input and maintain data in statistical process control (SPC) systems and generate certification documentation for customers.

  • Perform production audits and in-process inspections to ensure product conformance and visual appeal.

  • Maintain organized records of test results for trend analysis and follow-up.

  • Recommend improvements to materials, equipment, or processes to enhance efficiency and quality.

  • Adhere to all safety protocols and report unsafe conditions immediately.

  • Communicate regularly with production and QA teams to provide and receive updates related to ongoing quality checks.

  • Make routine decisions based on standard procedures and experience, reviewed daily by the Quality Control Manager.

Quality Control Skills & Requirements:

  • Education: High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.

  • Experience: Minimum of 6 months in quality control testing and analysis.

  • Technical Skills:

    • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

    • Ability to interpret data and use testing results for quality decision-making

    • Proficient in computer usage for data entry, documentation, and SPC charting

  • Tools & Equipment Experience:

    • Laboratory equipment such as:

      • Chatillon force testers

      • Scott testers

      • Mullen burst testers

      • Launderometer

      • Scales, gauges, ovens

      • Fire retardant testing apparatus

      • Chemical testing tools and chemicals

      • Die cutting press, microscope, abrasion testers

      • Familiarity with Computer systems, printers, phones, and common office software
