Salary range: $95-$115k per year based on experience.
Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Quality Engineer to join our Quality team. The ideal candidate has a proven track record of ensuring that all manufactured products meet customer, company, and industry quality standards through hands‑on inspection, measurement, documentation, and continuous improvement.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Maintains the Black Books with all the revision updates and releases.
- Review and Inspects the CI operations on the production Travelers
- Monitors change control procedures through releases
- Attends design reviews at Dynavac / customer sites as required by Project Managers.
- Works with Manufacturing Engineer to produce travelers that detail manufacturing steps, inspection hold points, and procedures.
- Supports ISO9001 Quality System.
- Works on the Operation floor to review and process the Quality CI/Inspection requirements
- Work on the Operation floor to review and process travelers as the operations are complete
- Works with operation employees to validate layout of product being produced as required
- Helps with incoming receiving and final inspection as required
- Researches, drafts, releases, of Corrective Actions and Non-Conformance reports as required
- Works with Manufacturing Engineering and Quality Manager to finalize and Support proof load testing.

- Ability to work with different type electronic inspection devises (Profilometer, Laser Trackers)
- Ability of Reading Blueprints and other drawing requirements
- At least one year of relevant Machining experience or
- At least two years of relevant Mechanical inspection experience, preferably within a custom manufacturing environment
- Use of mechanical inspection gages, equipment and fixturing
- Strong attention to detail
- Acceptable ability to follow written or oral instructions
- Ability to multi-task in a high-pressure environment
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations accurately
- AS9100 experience is a plus, but not a requirement
EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION
- Bachelor’s degree with a concentration in Industrial Engineering, or Quality Management
- Have experience in an MRP process (Epicor Preferred) and be functional in Word and Excel
- At least five years’ experience in manufacturing, preferably in an ISO 9000 environment.
- Lean/6Sigma Greenbelt, GDT and Metrology experience a plus

- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand. The employee frequently is required to use hand to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls and climb or balance. The employee is occasionally required to walk; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear.
- The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to vibration. The employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and in high, precarious places and is occasionally exposed to risk of electrical shock.
- The employee works in an open shop environment with no air conditioning and is seasonally exposed to heat.
- The employee will go between both local facilities to conduct inspection activities as needed.
