You do not need "Quality Assurance Technician" on your résumé.
You might currently work in:
- Manufacturing or production
- Machine operation
- Medical or dental support
- Pharmacy technician work
- Laboratory work
- Automotive service or inspection
- Electronics assembly
- Food or beverage manufacturing
- Inventory or receiving
- Shipping and fulfillment
- CNC or precision manufacturing
- Calibration or testing
- Another job where accuracy and attention to detail matter
Or maybe your current job doesn't fit neatly into any of those categories.

What matters is whether you're someone who pays attention to details, follows procedures, keeps accurate records, catches mistakes, and takes pride in getting things right.

What Could You Move Into?
I'm recruiting for Quality Assurance Technician positions with an established precision manufacturing and injection molding company in Royalton and Bethel, Vermont.
Quality Technicians help ensure precision-manufactured products meet exact specifications and quality standards before they leave the production floor.
The work includes:
- Inspecting precision-manufactured parts
- Learning to use measurement tools such as micrometers and calipers
- Following Quality Assurance Requirements and Control Plans
- Collecting samples and documenting inspection results
- Maintaining accurate quality records
- Identifying defects and inconsistencies
- Verifying required production and quality procedures
- Investigating quality issues
- Working with production teams to solve problems
- Helping ensure products meet demanding customer and regulatory standards
Previous quality or manufacturing experience is helpful.
But it isn't required for the right person.
What Makes Someone Good at Quality?
Quality is about more than inspecting parts.
It's a way of working.
Maybe you're the person who notices a number doesn't match.
Maybe "close enough" bothers you when you know there's a correct way to do something.
Maybe you're good at following detailed procedures, keeping accurate records, or catching errors before they become bigger problems.
Maybe you're willing to speak up when something doesn't look right.
Quality systems and measurement tools can be taught. Attention to detail is much harder to teach.
That's why I'm interested in talking to people outside the traditional Quality Assurance talent pool.
The Schedule
These are 12-hour rotating shifts, typically working 3 or 4 days per week.
Current schedules may include:
A Shift: Sunday–Tuesday + every other Wednesday, 6AM–6PM
B Shift: Sunday–Tuesday + every other Wednesday, 6PM–6AM
C Shift: Thursday–Saturday + every other Wednesday, 6AM–6PM
D Shift: Thursday–Saturday + every other Wednesday, 6PM–6AM
Both day and night shift opportunities may be available.
Shift placement depends on current openings.
