We are seeking an experienced CNC Set-Up Machinist who takes pride in producing high-quality precision parts and enjoys working in a team-oriented environment. If you're a self-motivated machinist who enjoys solving machining challenges and producing quality work, we'd love to hear from you.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- As part of a team, work to achieve production, quality and schedule goals. G-Code experience a PLUS
- Run CNC machines, monitor running products to produce quality products and insure a successful production run.
- Set-up and prove out/edit CNC programs.
- Provide quality checks utilizing inspection equipment and quality measuring tools.
- Document inspected parts in a neat manner for required quality and customer documentation.
- Growth opportunities as business grows.
- Maintain a safe work environment; identifying improvement areas to anticipate and eliminate hazards
- Maintain a positive, performance-oriented team culture
EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE:
- 5+ years of CNC lathe/mill programming and setup experience using G-Code.
- Ability to independently set up jobs from prints.
- Experience with precision machining of aluminum, stainless steel, plastics, and exotic materials.
- Strong understanding of feeds, speeds, tooling, and machining strategies.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and GD&T.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality parts.
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment.
- Must be able to pass background screen
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- Multi-axis machining experience a PLUS.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles.
- Experience working in ISO 9001 or AS9100 quality environments.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Must be able to sit and stand for long periods of time
- Must be able to carry approx. 30 pounds at times
