Our client located in the Hopkinton, MA area is seeking an experienced Sr Electrical Engineer for the design, development and release of new embedded sensing and control products and support sustaining engineering on existing lines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work with other engineers for the full-cycle EE development: architecture, circuit design, schematics, over seeing PCB layout, prototype bring-up, testing, and release to the market
- Drive DFM/DFT and work closely with contract manufacturers for high-volume production
- Ensure compliance with UL, CE, EMC, etc. and electrical safety standards and regulations
- Component selection, validation, cost optimization, and supply-chain risk mitigation
- Sustaining engineering of existing products
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to team technical direction
Required Qualifications:
- BSEE, BSECE, BSCE or related engineering degree
- 8+ years of professional experience in Electrical Engineering Design
- Strong background in analog and digital design (MCUs, power supplies, sensor interfaces)
- Experience working to industry safety standards and regulations
- Experience working with contract manufacturers
- Some C skills for hardware bring-up and testing and debugging
