ORGANIZATIONAL OVERVIEW
For over 30 years, Global Arts Live has been a leading force in bringing exceptional global music and dance to stages across Greater Boston. We aspire to transcend borders, cultivate community, and enrich lives through cultural diversity and artistic expression. To date, we have presented more than 800 artists from over 70 countries, performing in over 1,500 events attended by more than 1 million people.
We are in the midst of unprecedented growth as we launch a state-of-the-art performing arts center, called The Platform in Kendall Square, Cambridge, MA, to open in September 2026. Supported by a $20M campaign, this new venue, which includes a 400-seat theater, 125-seat cabaret space, and rehearsal studio, will further our mission and amplify our impact.
AUDIENCE SERVICES COORDINATOR JOB OVERVIEW
Global Arts Live seeks an Audience Services Coordinator to play a critical role in the management and operations of the Audience Services department. Reporting to the Director of Audience Services you will support all aspects of Box Office management and operations and collaborate with house management staff for all Global Arts Live events taking place at multiple venues in greater Boston, as well as rental events at our new performing arts center, The Platform.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Box Office Operations
- Handle ticket sales during regular business hours and during performances via phone and in person
- Respond to email inquiries from members and patrons
- Day-to-Day supervision of part-time Audience Services Representatives including training and scheduling
- Support the Audience Services Assistant with Box Office related mailings
- In coordination with the Director of Audience Services and Audience Services Assistant, serve as Manager on Duty for concert events at The Platform for Global Arts Live and rental events
- Represent Global Arts Live Box Office at presenting venues as needed
- Provide the highest level of customer service to all patrons
- Other duties as assigned
Database Management
- Handle member seating assignments and, in coordination with Development department, deliver certain concert-related member benefits throughout the year
- Ensure constituent data entry is consistent with database standards
- Assist Director of Audience Services with database administration including season builds, promo code creation, and reporting
- Other duties as assigned
Event Administration
- Collaborate with house management prior to and during events to ensure a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons
- Support the Director of Audience Services in financial reconciliations for performances, including providing settlements for venues, artists, and renters.
- Support cross-departmental projects including but not limited to special events, educational and audience engagement initiatives.

- Minimum two years of experience in box office and/or customer service required.
- Experience working in a database, ticketing system, and/or CRM is a plus (Tessitura preferred)
- Prior House Management a bonus, training will be provided otherwise as this position will provide coverage in that department if needed
- Multilingual candidates are encouraged to apply; proficiency in additional languages is a plus
- Detail-oriented self-starter who can efficiently handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
- Discretion in handling confidential information
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to resolve issues quickly and effectively
- Ability to learn new technology and programs with training provided
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed by event schedules
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and climb 2 flights of stairs
HOURS
- Regular M-F office hours plus evening and weekend hours during performance season (September - June). The exact schedule for this position, including remote work opportunities, will vary depending on the performance schedule and the opening of the new performing arts center.
COMPENSATION
This is a full-time, exempt position with an annual salary range of $60,000 to $65,000, commensurate with experience. Benefits include health, dental, disability and life insurance; SIMPLE Cafeteria flexible spending account; paid vacation, sick, and personal days; and 10 paid holidays.
