Job Title – Clinical Laboratory Supervisor – Blood Bank
Location – Melrose, MA
Role Type – Direct Hire
Must Have Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Chemistry, Clinical Laboratory Science, or Medical Technology (must meet CLIA & State requirements)
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Technologist/Technician in Blood Bank
- Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred
- ASCP and/or AMT certification a plus
- Strong working knowledge of CLIA, CAP, and state regulatory requirements
- Responsibilities and Job Details:
- Supervise day-to-day operations of the Blood Bank department at a leading regional hospital
- Oversee staffing, workflow, training, and scheduling to ensure departmental efficiency
- Ensure quality control and regulatory compliance with CLIA, CAP, and state guidelines
- Train and mentor team members while managing performance and development
- Perform bench work as needed to support lab operations
- Ensure accurate and timely reporting of laboratory test results
- Lead and participate in process improvement and quality assurance initiatives
- Maintain and audit documentation for compliance and quality control
- Handle administrative tasks including payroll and personnel documentation
- Serve as liaison with other departments and external partners as needed
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm
