Position Overview
The Quoting Specialist is responsible for developing accurate and competitive quotes for products and services, ensuring alignment with customer needs and company objectives. This role requires strong analytical skills and effective communication to facilitate negotiations and proposal development.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze pricing strategies and market trends to determine competitive pricing.
- Gather and assess all necessary information for cost estimation.
- Communicate effectively with customers to understand their requirements and provide support during the quoting process.
- Utilize Excel to create and manage detailed quotes and pricing models.
- Maintain attention to detail to ensure accuracy in quotes and proposals.
- Negotiate terms with clients to reach mutually beneficial agreements.
- Develop comprehensive proposals that clearly outline the offerings and pricing structure.
- Stay informed about product knowledge and industry standards to provide informed quotes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field preferred.
- Proven experience in pricing analysis and cost estimation roles.
- Strong customer communication skills with the ability to build relationships.
- Proficiency in Excel and other relevant software tools.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in work outputs.
- Demonstrated negotiation skills and ability to influence decision-making.
- Experience in proposal development and understanding of product knowledge within the industry.
