Catering by Andrew, New England’s premier kosher caterer, is seeking a professional, personable, and adaptable Server to join our off-premise catering team. This part-time role is ideal for individuals who thrive in fast-paced environments, enjoy engaging with guests, and take pride in delivering exceptional service at a wide variety of events.
Position Overview
As part of our Service team, you will play a vital role in providing outstanding service at events ranging from intimate dinners to large-scale celebrations. Working under the direction of the Event Captain and Event Manager, you will ensure service is polished, timely, and guest-focused. Every event is unique, requiring flexibility, professionalism, and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver excellent customer service with a warm, professional demeanor
- Execute diverse service styles, including:

- Plated service – serving and clearing courses
- Buffet service – maintaining presentation and guest flow
- Interactive stations – assisting chefs and engaging guests
- Assist with setup and breakdown of dining areas, buffets, and stations
- Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout events
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors
- Answer guest questions regarding menu items and allergens (training provided)
- Adapt to last-minute changes while supporting team needs
Qualifications
- Hospitality or catering experience preferred, but not required
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to follow directions and work well as part of a team
- Comfortable working in varied settings (indoor/outdoor, formal/casual)
- Reliable, punctual, and professional in appearance and demeanor
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and remain on your feet for extended periods
- Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Willingness to learn and assist with live food stations (training provided)
