The Material Specialist position is available in the area of Merrimack, NH. This role is essential for ensuring the accurate and timely handling of materials and products, contributing to the efficiency of the Stockroom and Shipping departments of a leading company known for its commitment to quality and compliance.
Contract through January/February 2027
Shift of the Material Specialist:
Day Shift, 7:00 AM - 4:30 PM
Pay Rate of the Material Specialist:
$27/HR
Responsibilities of the Material Specialist:
- Identify, count, check, log, weigh, and validate incoming and outgoing products and materials to ensure compliance with regulations.
- Move, load, unload, store, and retrieve materials using hand trucks, dollies, and forklifts.
- Process and manage shipping and material documents accurately and timely.
- Initiate requisitions for supplies and maintain safety stock of critical materials.
- Verify items against shipping/receiving documents and report discrepancies.
Qualifications of the Material Specialist:
- High school education or equivalent, with proficiency in commercial English and basic mathematics.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in material handling and shipping/receiving procedures.
- Basic computer skills for performing clerical duties.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 25 pounds.
- Familiarity with material handling documents.
