The Accounting Manager works closely with organizational leadership to oversee accounting policies, financial operations, and strategic financial decision‑making. This role ensures the organization maintains accurate, compliant financial records, policies, and practices.Abilities• Near Vision: Ability to see details at close range.• Problem Sensitivity: Ability to identify issues and provide effective solutions.• Oral Expression: Ability to clearly communicate information and ideas.• Information Ordering: Ability to gather, interpret, and analyze financial data to identify trends and support decision‑making.• Oral Comprehension: Ability to understand information presented verbally.• Strategic Mindset: Ability to align opportunities with broader business and financial objectives.• Flexibility: Adaptable, resourceful, and comfortable working with autonomy and ambiguity.Essential Functions• Manage and optimize the organization’s financial health and accounting practices.• Present financial insights, project updates, and collaborative ideas to leadership.• Assist in negotiating contract terms for new business opportunities.• Develop strategic financial plans to support long‑term goals.• Collect and analyze financial data to support business decisions.• Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., marketing, inventory, logistics) to support growth.• Work independently and manage time effectively.• Identify inefficiencies in financial operations and implement improvements using technology and data analysis.• Create and support the development of sustainable budgets.• Monitor expenditures and ensure proper resource allocation.• Provide training, mentorship, and performance guidance to team members.• Manage multiple projects while maintaining quality and meeting deadlines.• Create clear, accurate financial records and reports.• Identify errors or compliance issues and ensure timely resolution.• Research financial records to investigate discrepancies or potential mismanagement.• Collaborate with executive leadership on financial planning and cash‑flow forecasting.• Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP, tax regulations, and industry‑specific requirements.• Manage relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, regulatory bodies, and financial institutions.• Ensure financial systems are robust, compliant, and scalable.• Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting process and provide insightful financial analysis.• Maintain and enhance internal controls, identify risks, and implement remediation plans.• Advise management on business planning and cost‑related challenges.• Analyze and review overhead costs.• Research and document complex accounting issues and provide guidance to leadership.• Serve as the primary contact for external auditors and manage quarterly and annual audit processes.• Stay current with accounting standards and regulatory changes.• Conduct variance analysis and provide insights into financial performance.• Perform reconciliations and resolve discrepancies promptly.• Maintain and update fixed asset records.• Manage cash flow and bank balances.• Perform additional duties or projects as assigned.Technology• MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)• Quantum software (preferred)• ERP systems and financial modeling tools• Advanced Excel proficiency (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, complex formulas)****Must have worked for an Aerospace or defense contractor in the past.Salary: 110,000-150,000 plus bonus#ZR
