Our Robotics client is seeking a Quality Inspector to join the Quality team at our manufacturing facility, as we build the world’s most advanced robots. Every day, you will work closely with the Product Quality and Operations team to ensure accurate and timely in-process and final inspections are performed and nonconformances are flagged. You will play a vital role in helping to ensure our customers receive robots that are made to the highest standards. To thrive in this role, you must have an understanding of engineering drawings and the part inspection process, and have excellent communication skills with a team-first mentality.
Day to day activities:
● Following our quality control plan, inspect assemblies utilizing various mechanical tools and equipment and a range of inspection techniques
● Work closely with the Product Quality team to ensure timely inspections are conducted to aid with the proper flow of parts and materials needed for production
● Provide documentation and communication of in-process and final product inspection results
● Perform part level inspections, as required
● Provide feedback and look for opportunities for improvement in our quality control processes
● Be able to adhere to and support MRB processes
● Support with inline sorting associated with quality issues, as required
● Help manage calibration requirements both for quality inspection area and for equipment on the manufacturing line
● Maintain a clean, well organized work space in line with 5S standards
● Follow health and safety requirements at all times and bring to light safety concerns as soon as they arise
● Perform other related duties as requested by the Product Quality team
Desired skills:
● 4+ years experience in quality inspector or quality technician role
● Experience in quality control techniques and understanding of GD&T
● Ability to read and interpret engineering drawing and quality control plan
● Hands-on inspection skills (caliper, micrometer, thread gages, etc.); CMM experience not required
● Experience with ERP preferred
● Understanding of engineering change management process
● Experience with working on computers and using computer programs to aid inspection
● Good communication and a team first mentality
● Experience working in an ISO 9001 or similar environment
The pay rate for this position is $35 per hour. This rate represents a good faith estimate of compensation at the time of posting.
