Reporting to the Coating Supervisor the Coating Technician III will participate in all functions associated with E-Ink’s coating operation in our S. Hadley, Ma. Facility. As part of the S. Hadley team, this high energy individual will support day to day shift production of the coating operation.
Job Responsibilities:
- Work with resident process and equipment engineers, product engineers and resident operations personnel to establish optimized processes and material flow for the operation.
- Monitor and assure outgoing quality meets specifications. Manage non-conformances in accordance with Quality Protocols.
- Maintain appropriate production records per ISO requirements.
- Ensure all S.O.P., best practices, and safety protocols are observed and followed as defined by process engineers and/or management for all plant activities.
- Respond to process upsets (troubleshooting) and drive solutions to minimize impact to manufacturing
- Assist with debug, start-up and qualification of new processes and equipment.
- Facilitate throughout the plant a flexible, hands-on attitude grounded in teamwork
- Participate in meetings and audits related to production, development, and equipment activities – as needed.
- Support opportunities for improvement (efficiencies, sampling rates, material movement, labeling/communication, SOPs etc.)
- Maintain active trainings and certifications across all areas of the operation for increased personal growth, development, and experience.
- Assist with team training efforts where 100% certification is achieved.
Qualifications:
- GED or High School diploma plus a minimum of 1 years' experience in a relevant manufacturing environment
- Strong relationship and organizational skills to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Ability to work effectively with individuals at all levels and functions of the organization to develop solutions to manufacturing challenges.
- Comfortable working in a fast paced, self-managed environment with aggressive goals.
- Strong PC skills: solid understanding of the Microsoft Suite and spreadsheet applications
- Some familiarity with SPC, SOP’s, ISO, FMEA, 6 Sigma and other related manufacturing tools desired
- Experience in chemical, coating or converting manufacturing environments a strong bonus.

Salary Range Disclosure: The annual base salary range for this position is $15.00 to $25.00, not including any variable pay. The total compensation package may include performance-based incentives, discretionary bonuses, and other variable pay components. The salary range for this position reflects a reasonable estimate at the time of posting and may vary based on factors such as experience, skills, education, certifications, and location.
