Seeking a self-motivated individual to work as a Green Sand molder on multiple lines, setting cores, sleeves and chills according to process sheet.
This position may require access to export-controlled technology or software source code that is subject to export controls restrictions under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (“ITAR”) and the Export Administration Regulations (“EAR”) and will therefore be required to meet eligibility criteria under ITAR and EAR regulations.
Duties:
- Inspect crane system
- Fabricate cope and drag molds
- Per mold specifications, add chills and risers as required
- Cut pour basins and risers as required
- Clean area of excess sand
- Clean and maintain area
- Perform operator PMs as required
- Attend production meetings
- Clean sand chute as required
- Complete department safety sheets
- Perform other duties or assignments as directed by management

Qualifications:
Education/Experience: No specific education or certification is required, however, high school diploma or general education degree (GED), or one to three months related experience and/or training (or equivalent combination of education and experience) is desired.

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of basic computer operation for reviewing work instructions.

Work Environment:
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to work near moving mechanical parts and fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate/loud.
Physical Requirements
- Frequent lifting and carrying of product weighing 5 to 60 pounds
- Frequent pushing or pulling of material and/or equipment
- Frequent standing when working and when driving powered industrial equipment
- Frequent walking,
- Regular reaching, bending, stooping, kneeling and twisting
- Repetitive motion and substantial movement of the wrists, hands and/or fingers
- Exposure to extreme temperatures dependent on external climate and proximity to dock doors/exits
- Moderate/loud noise level; occasional vibration if/when operating powered industrial equipment.
Shift schedule is 5:00 am to 1:30 pm
